Here are some pictures taken during the assembly and placement of our Net Pens. This was in April for the planting of our King Salmon. With these pens, the planted fish are protected when they are placed by the DNR. This increases their survival rate several times over. Our membership takes the planting and survival of these fish seriously. This is part of our club's activities to insure the continued success of our Great Lakes salmon and trout fishery. After the fish are planted, they are relased after 2 days of acclamation to the lake while in the pens. After that, our volunteers have to remove the pens, wash them and place them back in storage until the next time they are needed. It gives you a real sense of accomplishment!
