Fished all night on the night before the July full moon with Capt Don on Bullfrog. Left McKinley at 5:15 on Sunday night and motored up towards Fox Point. Stopped about 1 mile SE of Fox Point in 60 FOW. Started fishing about 6:15 with various rigs. Started catching fish quickly on glow in the dark spoons on 40-60 yard lead core, downriggers at 30-50 feet with longer leads and dipsey divers at 95 feet on number 3 setting.
Found consistant action just SE of Concordia College in 60-90 feet of water and stayed up there all night.
Caught about 50 fish during the night, with several doubles in the moonlight. It was beautiful and fantastic, all at the same time.
Last "keeper" fish, a 7 pound king came at 3:30 am Monday morning. With a full cooler, we were trailering the boat Monday morning as several friends and members were launching theirs.
Hot lures were Fishlander orange Easter Egg, Moonshine with 3 black dots and the new hot lure this year, the Michigan Stinger NBK, all in the regular size, not magnums.
