"A Bender Day"

Good to hear some feed back.

I and a friend hit Bender at day break Monday morning. Not another boat to be seen at this time. West wind and about 30 degrees to start. Harbor mouth is pretty much sanded in, needed a push pole to get out and back.
Went down to the boils looking for a jigging bite. Didn't mark them so we didn't bother. (I'm one of those guys that has to see um before I can fish um.) We set up two riggers with spoons and 2 small board lines with cranks and started to troll the boil area. Missed two on spoons and boated one 4# brown on a crank.
WE headed over to the power plant, found the edge of the warmer water and went 4 for 7 all browns most on spoons. Biggest a great looking 31" brown. Ended the day about 1pm going 5 for 9. I will be smoking some next week. By the time we left there were at least a dozen boats working the area. Why not a 50 degree day and a very lite west wind.

Went back out again on Friday. Same program but no fishes in the boat. Fished from 10am till 2pm. Lotsa fish marked in shallow, with discharge water as high as 44 degrees but no takers.
